Your Face is Proof Campign

The “ Your Face is Proof” campaign  was aimed at recruiting women who do not use face creams into Fair & Lovely by convincing them that it is safe and effective. It was divided into three phases, namely: Provoke phase, engage and amplify. In the provoke phase, we  challenged a woman’s decision not to use a face cream through a bold and definite promise to Take the Mirror Test. In Engage we  provided the final push to consumers to use Fair & Lovely by educating them on the individual benefits through events and sampling. Finally, the amplify phase we communicated the results of the campaign in terms of the number of women who signed up to take the Mirror Test.

The mirror test was an invitation to young women who do not use face creams to rethink that decision and put Fair & Lovely to the test for the ultimate proof that it works. We would like to thank  all women  who took part in the mirror test for joining us on a journey to discovering beautiful skin.

Make  every day count campaign

This campaign by Fair & Lovely was based on women empowerment with an aim to provide a forum through which young ladies can have access to information that will enable them make the right career choices. The Make Everyday count Campaign was a positive invitation to young women to achieve more and get ready to embrace life’s opportunities at every turn; to select the right path out of many. Fair & Lovely gives women beautiful, glowing skin that in turn makes them feel good, which gives them self-confidence, which helps them to have this little extra power and to go for bigger objectives, overcoming all challenges, rather than hiding behind excuses.

The women centred initiative created academic opportunities and career guidance to empower young women to achieve their life’s dream. The campaign was in two folds, firstly offering career guidance for high school students through career talks in 55 schools and 5 regional career fairs across the country. Secondly, Fair & Lovely  offered scholarships for tertiary education to deserving students. The scholarship fund valued at Kshs 2 million (US$ 30,770),  benefited 20 students in 2008. From this fund each eligible girl was entitled to a scholarship worth Kshs 100,000 (US$1540) towards a course of their choice in tertiary institutions. Our desire is to touch the lives of many girls, with the continuity of this fund.
